Laser Technologies Ltd. Files DRHP with NSE Emerge, Plans IPO of up to 1.07 Crore Shares
Dr Rakesh Agarwal, Managing Director & Founder, Laser Technologies Ltd.
Laser Technologies Limited, an established Indian provider of laser cutting, welding and sheet metal processing machinery, has taken a major step towards the capital markets by filing its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) dated September 30, 2026, with the NSE Emerge platform of the National Stock Exchange of India.
The company is proposing an Initial Public Offering of up to 1,07,00,000 equity shares with a face value of ₹5 each. The IPO will comprise entirely of a fresh issue, with no Offer for Sale component, meaning the funds raised will go directly to the company.
The promoters currently hold 99.99% of the company’s 2.13 crore pre-issue equity shares. Following a fully subscribed issue, their holding is expected to reduce to around two-thirds of the enlarged equity capital.
IPO to Strengthen Working Capital and Manufacturing
Laser Technologies plans to use up to ₹30.77 crore of the IPO proceeds for working capital requirements and up to ₹14.04 crore for repayment or prepayment of certain borrowings. Another ₹2.40 crore has been earmarked for capital expenditure related to a proposed manufacturing facility at Chakan, Pune. The balance will be used for general corporate purposes.
At least 5% of the issue will be reserved for the market maker. Of the net issue, not more than 50% will be allocated to Qualified Institutional Buyers, with up to 60% of that portion available to anchor investors. At least 15% will be reserved for non-institutional investors and 35% for individual investors. GYR Capital Advisors Private Limited is the Book Running Lead Manager, while Bigshare Services Private Limited is the Registrar.
From Distributor to Integrated Technology Player
Incorporated in June 2011 and headquartered in Navi Mumbai, Laser Technologies began as a solutions provider for advanced laser machinery. It has since expanded into laser cutting, welding, marking and engraving, CNC sheet metal bending and punching, and pipe and tube bending.
Its business also includes installation and commissioning, application engineering, maintenance contracts, repair of laser sources and cutting heads, spare parts, consumables, software and operator training. The company operates across Distribution, Assembly, Contract Manufacturing, Services and Spare Parts. Distribution remained its largest segment, contributing 73.09% of FY2026 revenue from operations.
However, the company is increasingly building its own manufacturing capabilities. It assembles welding and marking machines under the PhotonX brand and contract-manufactures CNC press brakes to its own designs. Its proposed Chakan facility will manufacture laser cutting machines under the Right Series brand.
Strong Customer Base and Improving Profitability
Laser Technologies has served more than 3,000 customers across sectors including automotive, aerospace and defence, electrical and electronics, general fabrication, HVAC, railways, metro and energy.
Repeat customers contributed 73.28% of FY2026 revenue, while the contribution of the top ten customers declined from 38% in FY2024 to 22.09% in FY2026, indicating greater customer diversification.
As of September 15, 2026, the company had an order book of 109 orders worth ₹40.25 crore. Revenue from Services and Spare Parts also increased to ₹23.68 crore in FY2026, or 13.10% of revenue from operations.
Financially, the company has delivered a sharp improvement in profitability. Revenue from operations stood at ₹180.80 crore in FY2026, while EBITDA rose to ₹19.66 crore and PAT to ₹12.61 crore. EBITDA margin improved to 10.85% from 3.31% in FY2024, while PAT margin increased to 6.97% from 2.16%.
The DRHP also highlights strong industry tailwinds, with India’s laser market projected to grow significantly through 2031, driven by sectors such as semiconductors, EV batteries and solar manufacturing.
With the IPO, Laser Technologies aims to strengthen its balance sheet, expand manufacturing capacity and accelerate its transition from a machinery distributor to a more integrated technology and manufacturing company.
Laser Technologies Limited is proposing, subject to statutory and regulatory requirements, requisite approvals, market conditions and other considerations, to make an Initial Public Offering of its equity shares and has filed a DRHP dated September 30, 2026 with NSE Emerge. Investments in equity involve risk. Investors should read the DRHP, including the “Risk Factors” section, before making any investment decision.
