Italy’s machine tool and advanced manufacturing sector has entered a new leadership chapter with the re-election of Riccardo Rosa as President of UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE for the 2026–2027 term. The appointment was confirmed during the Association’s General Members’ Meeting held on 7 July, reaffirming the confidence of Italy’s manufacturing community in Rosa’s leadership at a time when the industry continues to evolve through digital transformation, automation, and sustainable production.
As the representative body of Italian manufacturers of machine tools, robots, and automation systems, UCIMU plays a pivotal role in strengthening the country’s industrial competitiveness both domestically and internationally. In accordance with the statutes of the UCIMU Foundation, Rosa will also serve as President of the UCIMU Foundation, further consolidating his leadership across the organization’s strategic initiatives.
Supporting Rosa throughout the new mandate will be three Vice Presidents: Filippo Gasparini, Giulio Maria Giana, and Luigi Maniglio. Adding further depth to the Executive Board is the continued participation of several former UCIMU presidents, including Massimo Carboniero, Ezio Colombo, Luigi Galdabini, Cesare Manfredi, Bruno Rambaudi, Pier Luigi Streparava, and Alberto Tacchella. Their institutional knowledge and industry experience provide valuable continuity while supporting the Association’s future direction.
Operational leadership remains under the guidance of Director-General Davide Della Bella, who continues to oversee UCIMU’s activities, industry relations, international promotion, and member services.
The new leadership team assumes responsibility at a crucial time for the Italian manufacturing sector. Global supply chain shifts, increasing automation, digital production technologies, sustainability goals, and international competitiveness continue to reshape the industrial landscape. Under Rosa’s renewed presidency, UCIMU is expected to strengthen its support for innovation, promote advanced manufacturing technologies, encourage investment in smart production systems, and represent the interests of Italian manufacturers in both European and global markets.
With a strong executive team, experienced board members, and a clear focus on technological progress, UCIMU enters the 2026–2027 term well positioned to drive the next phase of growth for Italy’s machine tool, robotics, and automation industries.
