Marposs Corporation has announced the appointment of Luca Matteucci as its new President, marking a significant leadership transition for the North American headquarters of the global measurement and process control specialist. Based in Auburn Hills, Michigan, Marposs Corporation plays a pivotal role in serving customers across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and the new appointment underscores the company’s continued focus on strategic growth, operational excellence, and customer-centric innovation.
In his new role, Matteucci will be responsible for defining and executing the company’s strategy in close alignment with Marposs S.p.A., the Italy-based parent organization. His mandate includes leading the North American team, overseeing budgets and personnel, and evaluating overall business performance to ensure the achievement of corporate objectives. The appointment reflects Marposs’ confidence in Matteucci’s deep technical expertise, international experience, and proven leadership capabilities.
Matteucci brings nearly two decades of experience within the Marposs organization. He joined the company in 2007 as a Final Check Engineer, where he quickly distinguished himself through his strong understanding of precision measurement systems and his ability to translate technical knowledge into practical, customer-focused solutions. His early career progression laid a solid foundation for a leadership path that would span multiple geographies and functions.
A key milestone in Matteucci’s career was his relocation to the United Kingdom, where he served as Service & Quality Manager. In this role, he was responsible for post-process gauging systems and leak test machines, gaining hands-on experience in quality assurance, service operations, and customer support in demanding industrial environments. This exposure further strengthened his electro-mechanical expertise and broadened his understanding of global manufacturing requirements.
Matteucci was later appointed Managing Director of Marposs India, based in New Delhi. There, he led commercial negotiations, managed relationships with major OEM customers, and oversaw sales, marketing, and human resources operations. Under his leadership, the Indian organization recorded significant revenue growth, improved invoicing performance, and achieved stronger gross margins—demonstrating his ability to drive both top-line growth and operational efficiency in a competitive market.
