TIMTOS 2025 wrapped up with a powerful display of global industry leadership, innovation, and cross-border collaboration. With more than 1,000 exhibitors and thousands of international buyers, the show solidified Taiwan’s growing influence in precision manufacturing and smart automation. From AI-driven robotics to digital twin technologies, TIMTOS 2025 highlighted the trends that will define the next generation of global machine tool development.
The Taipei International Machine Tool Show (TIMTOS 2025), organized by TAITRA and TAMI, ended on a high note after six productive days that reaffirmed its importance as a world-class exhibition for the machine tool and manufacturing industries. Hosted across Nangang Exhibition Center Halls 1 & 2 and Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1, the event featured more than 1,000 exhibitors and 6,100 booths. This year’s edition attracted 4,163 international buyers from 90 countries—an impressive 5.1% increase compared to the previous show. India, Japan, China, South Korea, and Malaysia led the visitor list, reflecting Asia’s growing influence in global production and procurement.
TIMTOS 2025 showcased six major themes shaping the future of manufacturing: precision machine tools, key components, full-scale automation, digital twin integration, additive manufacturing, and cross-industry applications. Exhibitors demonstrated how these technologies are transforming sectors such as aerospace, automotive, medical devices, and consumer products. Taiwan’s advancements in accuracy, efficiency, and smart automation were evident throughout the show, reinforcing the nation’s competitive position in global value chains.
This year’s spotlight theme, “AI & Robotics,” drew significant attention. Taiwanese companies presented cutting-edge components for humanoid and collaborative robots, including harmonic reducers, joint modules, and high-performance parts. Leading exhibitors such as HIWIN, CPC, and Main Drive revealed new technologies and expanded production capabilities. Their innovations show Taiwan’s growing impact on the global robotics supply chain, especially in emerging applications across healthcare, hospitality, and service industries.
Industry leaders—including FFG, Tongtai, Quaser, YCM, SOCO, and major controller brands like Siemens, FANUC, Heidenhain, and Mitsubishi—praised the strong visitor turnout and high-quality interactions. Digital twin technology was a highlight at several booths, demonstrating how real-time simulation enhances machining precision, operational safety, and sustainable production.
In-person connections remain crucial in the manufacturing sector, and TIMTOS 2025 proved instrumental in generating business opportunities. FFG secured more than 100 orders across automotive, aerospace, semiconductor, and energy applications. Quaser recorded NT$1 billion in orders, particularly in hydrogen energy and medical equipment. Tongtai also expanded into semiconductor manufacturing through ultrasonic machining and additive technologies.
The procurement matchmaking program facilitated by TAITRA brought together 75 buyers from 22 countries for 315 targeted meetings with 102 exhibitors. Strong order conversion rates were reported, with companies like MEGA Machine achieving a 70% success rate and receiving immediate orders from Europe and the Middle East.
With new features such as the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion and Taiwan Patent Go Pavilion, TIMTOS 2025 showcased the nation’s growing innovation strength. As the event prepares to return in March 2027, it continues to shape international collaboration and technological progress in the global machine tool industry.
