New Delhi, September 17, 2025 — As global supply chains evolve and economies shift toward technology-driven growth, Taiwan and India are emerging as natural partners in innovation. The upcoming Taiwan Expo 2025 in India, to be held from September 25–27 at Bharat Mandapam (Pragati Maidan), Hall 1, New Delhi, marks another milestone in deepening bilateral trade and industrial cooperation between the two dynamic economies.
Organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the Expo serves as Taiwan’s flagship platform for trade and investment engagement in India, spotlighting four key themes that define the industries of tomorrow — Smart Manufacturing, Smart Technology, Green Innovation, and Wellness Fiesta. Over 107 leading Taiwanese companies will participate, showcasing a diverse range of advanced technologies, sustainable products, and consumer innovations designed for the Indian market.
Building a Stronger Industrial Bridge
In recent years, Taiwan–India trade relations have gained remarkable momentum. From electronics and semiconductors to renewable energy, electric vehicles, and healthcare, the partnership is expanding into high-value sectors that are vital for both nations’ growth agendas.
Taiwan’s global strengths in advanced manufacturing, ICT, and green solutions complement India’s national initiatives such as Make in India, Digital India, and the IndiaAI Mission, creating fertile ground for collaboration in next-generation technologies and smart production.
During the pre-expo press conference held on September 17, representatives from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in India, the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), and key trade bodies including FICCI, EEPC, TPCI, and ELCINA came together to express strong support for the Expo’s vision.
A Growing Partnership Rooted in Innovation
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Keven Cheng, Deputy Director of TAITRA, highlighted that India’s strategic location, vast domestic market, and skilled talent base make it an essential new manufacturing hub for Taiwanese enterprises amid shifting global trade dynamics.
“Since its inception in 2018, the Taiwan Expo has been a cornerstone of our efforts to help enterprises diversify and explore new frontiers,” said Cheng. “This event has become a key platform for Taiwanese industries to expand in India, building successful partnerships in semiconductors, electronics manufacturing, ICT, and smart machinery.”
Echoing this sentiment, Ms. Yu-Chi Chen, Executive Director of the Economic Division at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in India, shared that bilateral trade reached a record high of USD 10.6 billion in 2024, with over 300 Taiwanese companies investing USD 5.8 billion cumulatively in India. “This reflects the growing integration of our industrial ecosystems and the confidence Taiwanese companies have in India’s market potential,” she added.
Technology, Innovation, and Collaboration on Display
Taiwan Expo 2025 will showcase a compelling range of innovations across industries:
Advantech, a global leader in industrial computing, will unveil its latest industrial PCs.
Zyxel will demonstrate secure network routers and access point solutions.
Proscend Communications will present advanced Industrial IoT routers and switches.
IPEVO will feature cutting-edge visual collaboration devices.
TAISYS Technologies will display a newly developed drone, reflecting Taiwan’s cross-sector innovation and technological creativity.
These companies exemplify how Taiwan’s technological excellence and India’s manufacturing ecosystem can work in synergy to build smarter, more efficient, and sustainable industries.
Culinary Collaboration: Taiwan Meets India’s Food Innovation
In a unique initiative, Taiwan Expo 2025 will be held concurrently with World Food India, the country’s largest food and beverage exhibition. A special Taiwan Select Food Pavilion will highlight the best of Taiwan’s culinary innovation, featuring brands such as:
- A-Sha Foods, presenting premium air-dried noodles;
- HOYA Next Meats, showcasing plant-based jerky and meal kits;
- DR. Diary Co., introducing instant boba milk tea kits.
This creative collaboration demonstrates Taiwan’s growing interest in connecting with India’s vast consumer market, blending technology, taste, and innovation.
A Shared Vision for the Future
As global industries shift toward sustainability, digitalization, and automation, Taiwan and India are poised to lead together. The Expo underscores the shared commitment of both nations to co-develop smart, green, and inclusive solutions that will drive future economic growth.
From Foxconn’s expanding footprint in India to joint ventures in electronics and clean energy, the Taiwan–India partnership is no longer emerging — it is accelerating. The Taiwan Expo 2025 in India embodies this momentum, serving as both a launchpad for new business opportunities and a symbol of lasting collaboration between two innovation-driven economies.
“Taiwan and India share the same spirit of innovation and resilience. Through collaboration, we can create technologies and industries that shape a better, smarter, and greener world,” said Mr. Cheng, summarizing the Expo’s vision.
With strong government support, powerful industry participation, and a shared drive for progress, the Taiwan Expo 2025 in India stands as a landmark event — a celebration of partnership, progress, and the promise of a new industrial era for both nations.With every edition, Industrial Transformation Saudi Arabia strengthens its position as the premier platform for smart industry in the Middle East — where the world’s most advanced technologies converge to shape a smarter, greener, and more connected future for the Kingdom and beyond.
